SALEM, N.H., Feb. 17, 2005 – Xelor Software Inc. (www.xelorsoftware.com) today announced the appointment of Rob Scott as president and chief executive officer and the establishment of its worldwide headquarters in Salem, N.H. Xelor provides the industry’s first service quality management solutions for ensuring the reliability, performance and quality of time-sensitive, real-time IP communications.
Rob Scott brings extensive management experience to his new position at Xelor. Most recently, Scott served as president and CEO at Iperia, a provider of network-based voice messaging applications. Prior to Iperia, Scott was chairman and co-founder of Octave Communications, which was acquired by Voyant Technologies in January 2003.
“Rob Scott has been very successful with his past start-ups and leadership roles. ONET, MultiLink and Octave Communications were all companies that Rob led and provided favorable returns to their investors with deals to Siemens, PictureTel and Voyant Technologies,” said Rob Newman, investment director at the venture capital firm Foundation Capital Pty Ltd and chairman of the board at Xelor. “Rob also has senior management experience with large companies, such as CrossComm, Harris Adacom and Motorola/Codex, and this will benefit Xelor in future years.”
Scott also has been recognized by his peers for his vision and success. In 2002, Scott was Ernst & Young’s telecom sector Entrepreneur of the Year and similarly was the New Hampshire High Tech Council’s Entrepreneur of the Year.
Xelor was founded Sept. 4, 2002 as Cortec Systems Pty Ltd, a joint venture between QPSX Ltd, an Australian technology incubation company, and the Australian Telecomunications Cooperative Research Centre. The new entity, Xelor Software Inc., incorporated in Delaware on Nov. 19, 2004, will lead the worldwide launch and sales of the XelorRate family of software solutions. Xelor Software Pty Ltd, based in Perth, Western Australia, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S. parent company.
